As you are probably aware all schools in the Gadsden City School District will open this year with remote learning only. There will be periodic assessments to provide guidance in opening the schools for traditional learning as soon as it is safe for students and staff.
We at Litchfield Middle School have a few things we need to take care of for the start of the school year.
To begin with, we will be holding drive-thru essentials pickups utilizing the following schedule with last names beginning:
A-K: Wednesday, August 12th
L-Z: Thursday, August 13th
Make-up – Friday, August 14th
Pick-up times will be from 9:00-11:00 and 1:00-3:00
Friday, August 14th will be used as a make-up day. There will only be one session this day, and it will be from 9:00-11:00.
These essentials will include remote schedules and Chromebooks. If you have a personal device and prefer to use it during this time of remote learning, you do not have to take a school-issued Chromebook and be responsible for lost or damaged devices. You will still need to come to get your remote schedule for your child.
The official school start date is Monday, August 17, 2020.
Please continue to practice social distancing, wear a mask, and be safe.
